The Foundation

GPS tracks your fleet. CAN understands it.

Every modern vehicle has a CAN bus — a network that connects the engine, transmission, brakes, and sensors, passing data between them thousands of times per second. Our telematics devices tap into this network and stream that data to the platform in real time.

The result: instead of knowing a vehicle was in Chicago at 14:32, you know it was there travelling at 39 mph, burning 2.2 gal/hr, with engine load at 71%, coolant at 91°C, and an active fault code on the EGR valve. That's the difference between tracking and intelligence.

What CAN data intelligence delivers

Six modules powered by live CAN telemetry — working together in one platform.

Engine diagnostics

Instant fault detection — before your driver notices

Every DTC that fires on any vehicle appears in the platform within seconds — with plain-English description, severity, and freeze-frame engine state at the moment of fault.

  • Instant DTC alerts with code and severity
  • Pending codes caught before MIL activates
  • Freeze-frame engine state at moment of fault
  • Remote triage — fewer unnecessary workshop visits

What your fleet data actually tells you

Fuel Consumption Trends

Chart fuel economy week-over-week for every vehicle and every driver. Identify routes where consumption spikes, correlate with road gradient, traffic, or load weight — and coach drivers on the specific behaviours driving the cost.

Measurable fuel savings

Engine Load Patterns

Understand how hard your vehicles work relative to their design parameters. A vehicle consistently operating at 85%+ load is accelerating wear. CAN load data triggers preventive maintenance before this becomes a breakdown.

Fewer unplanned breakdowns

RPM vs Driving Behaviour

Plot RPM against speed for every trip to see where drivers are over-revving or lugging the engine. The ideal RPM band for fuel efficiency is 1,200–1,600 rpm — CAN shows you who's hitting it and who isn't.

Improved fuel efficiency

Fault Code Detection & History

Every DTC that fires on any vehicle appears in the platform within seconds, with a plain-English description, severity rating, and recommended action. Historical patterns reveal recurring issues that simple repairs have been masking.

Part of the Platform

CAN data feeds the whole platform

CAN intelligence isn't a standalone module — it's woven into every part of the platform. Fault codes trigger maintenance workflows. Fuel data populates driver coaching scores. RPM trends appear in fleet reports. EV battery status drives dispatch decisions.

Compatible Hardware

CAN analytics works with our full range of supported devices — no additional hardware required for most fleets.

CAN data is automatically enriched with connected 1-Wire temperature probes, fuel sensors, and door switches — all correlated with engine telemetry in a single timeline.

Ready to go beyond GPS?

CAN data intelligence is included in the platform — no extra subscription, no extra hardware for most fleets. Book a demo to see it live on your vehicle types.
